A big-box store in Forney closed after an arc flash at its main breaker panel. At 10:45 a.m. its fire alarm panel logged a fire pump power supervisory. The store put in an emergency service call, and our technician was on site by mid-afternoon.
The inspection question
The store also asked for full inspections of the fire alarm, sprinkler system and fire pump. The inspection tags on site were current. We confirmed with the Forney fire marshal that those inspections were not required.

We came back two days later, and the panel read All Systems Normal. Power to the fire pump had been restored and the pump was fully operational. Our service record on the panel notes that all signals and troubles cleared once power was fully restored. We called the Forney fire marshal to confirm the system was fully operational.
