The diagnosis
Recurring trouble signals on a commercial fire alarm system don’t always point at the obvious places. After working the loop, the issue narrowed to a set of addressable modules — small but critical components that report each device’s status back to the panel.
The fix
Bad modules out, replacement modules in. Each one was addressed, programmed, and verified against the panel’s device list. The system came back to all-normal on the walkthrough.
Why we share this one
A clean before-and-after shot of a panel telling the truth. Trouble signals are the kind of thing that get ignored until they don’t (an inspection deficiency, a city-mandated firewatch). Replacing a $200 module pre-emptively beats standby-officer hours every time.
